Five teams have officially secured their place in the quarter-finals of the ongoing Raajje Junior Football Championship (U17) following another intense round of group stage action.
Maafushi School U17, Majeediyya School U17 and Guraidhoo School U17 became the first sides to mathematically confirm qualification after impressive performances throughout the tournament.
Meanwhile, Group C has officially produced two quarter-finalists already, with both Adh. Atholhu Thauleemi Marukaz U17 and Thaajuddeen School U17 securing progression to the knockout stage. With both teams currently sitting on six points alongside dominant goal differences, one side will finish as group winners while the other is guaranteed to qualify as one of the best second-placed teams.
Despite their postponed fixture earlier in the competition, the highly anticipated Group C clash between Thaajuddeen School and Adh. Atholhu Thauleemi Marukaz is now set to be played on Saturday morning. The encounter will decide the group winner as both sides head into the match already confirmed as quarter-finalists.
The race for the remaining quarter-final spots continues to heat up as several schools remain in strong contention heading into the final group stage fixtures. Teams such as Imaduddin School U17, Dharumavantha School U17, Iskandhar School U17 and Jamaaluddin School U17 are among the sides looking to officially confirm their places in the last eight.
